Statement Regarding GitCode.com
Date: June 27, 2024
The BeaconOS Team noticed that the new website www.gitcode.com is actively cloning repositories from GitHub. Although the repository of BeaconOS is not affected, we still decided to update our license agreement on the BeaconOS Project. This will not affect any current user of BeaconOS although any redistribution of this project now requires an application submitted in writing to the BeaconOS Team. We acknowledge that this created mass inefficiencies and issues. We sincerely appologize to all users; this is an action that has to be made in order to protect the intellectual property of the BeaconOS Projects. Should you please see the new updated License on the GitHub repository. More information regarding this change, including a statement by the Board can be found under the page "Board Statements".
